currently i have 118k miles. want to put a kenne bell on it but am afraid of breaking stuff with the miles. should i get a used pi short block and get some nice heads/cams and use the intake plenum, throttle body, cai etc. or do all that to my motor now but rebuild the bottom end and if i do that should i stroke it or just bore it 30 over. if you have any prices to compare that would be great as well.

A PI shortblock is no stronger than the one you have now. If you want a "whoa holy crap my car is friggen fast" fix on the quick (because Kenne Bell's cost like 7k), throw on some stock PI heads (2-3 hundred), VT Stage I N/A cam's if you can find them, or Comp 262's if you can't (4-5 hundred), misc gasket's and an intake if you don't have one (250) and for 1200 buck's you'll be knocking on the door of 300 rwhp and that should hold you until you build a shortblock.

if your adding a KB, don't worry about the ported heads (unless you want)
and the blower replces the IM.

I'd recommend a forged internals or shortblock.
you could also lower your compression to get the most out of the blower combo.

there's a number of good sources out there. Crower makes a nice cam as well if your looking.

that will be a fun car when your done. good luck with it.

PI heads and cams usually net between 75-100 HP.

you'll need a dnyo tune as your compression will go up, and the valve timing will be different.

track time - 13's depending on your skillz :santa_smiley:

Yeah unfortunately for me a PI swap on an NPI motor nets more power than an actual PI motor :(

Because you need to swap springs for the duration that those cams run.

Yeah, it'll run faster :D You don't need new retainer's with spring's BTW.

You can't E-race forever though dude, eventually you'll have to go get your hands dirty.
