I have to figure it out soon I have a hell of a popping sound coming from the rear when i hit a bump. I thought i blew a shock but if i bounce the car it doesn't make the sound.

Bang, or pop? Top of the differential hitting or exhaust hitting tire?

I don't know I havnt been able to get the car to a place to get it off the ground to look. One thing I did notice was that there looks like a dent in the exhaust pipe. Behind the tire but it doesn't look like it rubbed any.

I do not know the technical term for the mechanical piece on top of differential to prevent hard hits to floor board. Someone here will though. I just woke up and I'm brain dead for a while.

What's the chances that is it? Like said I can bounce the car hard sitting still and it doesn't make the sound so I was thinking maybe it could be bushing on the rear control arms?
