I want to buy a set of such gaskets for my Steeda TriAxis short throw shifter from someone who is willing to send it by post to Austria (Europe).
They are available from online vendors, but they ask ridiculous money for shipping fee for a whee little flat gasket.

I used rtv, but I get significant transmission noise since then. So I will give a try to the silicone gasket.
Is the purple locktite more special than the standard red rtv?

what that stuff is creates a gasket
the out side will still be like jelly the flange flat part will almost be like a fiber paper when you remove it and it is pretty tough durable.
you need very little of it real thin layr coted on flange.
i will only use it on transmissions pans , diff covers, timing chain covers
there is a reason why is called gasket maker.

X2 only use very little. Def don't need a thick bead of it.
