Trunk panels

Has anyone attempted to re cover their trunk panels or paint them? Some of mine the felt is pretty jacked up, I thought about trying some soap and water then painting with that Duplicolor fabric and vinyl paint. Just wondering what anyone else has tried if anything.

I recovered mine years ago. Get some 3m super 90 and I went with a felt like black that had a good amount of give/stretch to it. The thing to know about the super 90 is that you don't just spray it on and then stick them together. Spray it on both sides, wait till it starts to set up to where when you touch it it is still sticky, but doesn't stick to your finger. At that point put the two together and I have never had a problem with mine.
