I used syncromesh for a long time. I noticed a big difference in the shifting and just the over-all acting of the trans. IMO its just better all around.

It will call for merc ATF, I'm not sure about the 3650s but for the t45 Keisler performance doesn't recommend a synchromesh because it can destroy the liner.

I ran it for years and didn't ever have a problem but mine was a 3650. To be honest though, it's either the fluid to help in longivity or you have syncro's break. The T-45's just are not a good design, and that is one of the reasons that Ford replaced them.

I blew a Kesler T45 to bits in like one week lmao, following all their directions. One of the companies that taught me to go rebuild transmissions myself. Them and Monster.
