So I bought the control arms pictured below off a forum and they were shipped to me. He sent me pics before but I never saw any from the underside. I think one of them is bent or if it's suppose to be like that (the one on the right side of the pics in the area by the control arms bushings). If it is should I just send it back or is it usable? Need opinions quick because there's another set available locally that I want to buy instead if these are trash.

I know they were redesigned for a better turning radius, and that to me looks intentional.

The seller said that they were fine when he sold them to me. I don't know if there was shipping insurance on them. I paid with paypal and he just shipped them out.

UPS or USPS? They both have standard insurance on them. Find out which one was used.

Hard to believe that it could get bent like that while in transit.. That box would have to be in BAD shape.

Yeah and since you filed with Paypal it can take up to 20 days but you need to take pictures of the box it came in and the wrapping it was in to show that none of that was messed up. This will ensure you get what is owed to you. If he refuses then politely file with Paypal. It takes a pretty dern hard hit to bend am A arm like that.

Ya I already emailed the guy and I'm waiting on what he says. I'm just going to get the other ones that are for sale locally

Good luck with the claim... From what I understand, Paypal doesn't help buyers dispute the quality of the items received, but only whether they received the items or not.

Hopefully the Seller will man up and admit the mistake. What forum did you get them from? Hopefully not here..

It wasn't this forum it was on cafords.com. So far the guy said it's fine and to just ship them back for a full refund, but I still gotta ask him about the shipping charges because it's going to cost me about 20 to 30 dollars in shipping to send them back and I shouldn't have to be responsible for that.

I agree you shouldn't have to pay anything out of pocket for this bad transaction you got.

I don't know if they were from a wreck. I put up a wanted ad on the forum and he responded. He said they were fine and in the pics he showed me they looked good. But I never saw them from underneath.

Ok so the guy agreed first to just split the difference in shipping, but when I went to the UPS store it was going to be $90 to ship them back which was ridiculous and i was not going to pay for that. So I asked him how he only paid $25 in shipping and asked him if he had an account with UPS and he said he didn't have an account with them. So then I asked him what method he used to ship so we could work this out and he hasn't said anything. Does anybody know if paypal will take a claim on this considering it was a private transaction in another forum? I just want my money back and I'm tired of dealing with this guy.
