1978 Pinto @ NMRA Bradenton

My dad and I took the GoPro along this weekend to the NMRA event in Bradenton, FL.

The car is powered by a 374ci small block and has a Jerico 4-speed manual trans. The runs in the video are all low 9's, best so far is a 9.05 @ 150.

He also just bought a parachute because legally you have to have one if you go over 150mph. When he gets that mounted I'll post some pics. Enjoy!

Yeah it was his idea to put the camera inside the car actually, turned out pretty good!

He's had it for over 25 years if I remember correctly. It used to look quite a bit different.

I help him work on it sometimes but for the most part it's just him. It's pretty reliable, over the past 20 something years he's only had 4 or 5 different engines in it. Started out as a 12 second street car and grew to be what it is today.

As for getting more out of it, he has a 250 shot that's been on the car for years, but he rarely uses it unless he needs to catch someone in a bracket race. One day he'll probably spray it all the way down the track and run a mid 8. I'm trying to convince him to do it soon lol.
