Lets get a volt meter and check some sensors. Get a reading of the throttle position sensor while key on, engine off. Readings from tps while throttle closed should be .97volt to .99volt and wide open is 4.5v to 5v. If not, rule out inconsistent readings checked at open/close multiple times to see if same readings produce..... you are now troubleshooting to see if the tps is failing. There are many ford tps settings youtube videos, give them a look over for a general idea.

Now check the voltage and ohms of the engine coolant temp sensor. Pull the plug of the ECT sensor and probe the terminals with meter on ohms setting. Then key on/engine off ECT plug installed, get a voltage in and out reading from the sensor Use these charts and compare readings.

have we checked to see if the injectors are actually firing? Pulled a plug and see if they smelled like fuel or tried a noid light? Pulling a plug to inspect might be a good to tell a few things.

i think i got myself way over my head i quit my job because i was promised a better one and i dont even know how to check the throttle position sensor voltage thank you so much for the help

check on youtube and there is a video that shows how to check the voltage. It is easy, takes a few minutes with a volt meter. We are not stoppin till that car is running.

Before you drive yourself crazy verify that your timing is set between 10-12* BTC. Sounds like its a bit retarded hence why giving it a little throttle keeps it running.

I am not an expert, but come to think of it my '79 TransAm behaved similarly like your car on the video, and my problem was a waay too much retarded timing.
Don't forget to unplug the SPOUT connector before checking the timing with the timing light.
