1998 mustang gt vs 2006 gto

my car is a 1998 gt car with the following mods


PI Heads
PI Intake
Aftermarket Cams - not sure what kind
BBK 75 mm TB
C&L Upper Plenium
C&L Cold Air
4:10 Gears
X Pipe with Flowmaster 1 Chambers

2006 Pontiac GTO Ls2
K&N Filter


all runs were from a 15-20 mph roll this is the best run he got me out the gate but i came back by around 100mph

here is all the videos i put an average of half to a full car on him ... it was closer down low but when id hit 3rd and 4th id pull preety good

im amazed at how hard i pulled him up top i figured it would be the exact oposite... i turned my rev limiter to 7000 rpms and it still wanted to pull even that high....

sweet , i have the same setup as you but untuned and t56 and put 2 1/2 cars to an ls2 gto by the and of 4 gear

yeah my car is in major need of a tune it blows fuel smoke everywhere when i lift it about kills the person behind me lol it woulda been worst prob but i spun my ass off in 1st and into 2nd i thaught i was gnna hit him lol

I've never seen a gt pull or hang with a ls2 gto.... was he an auto? Do you have ported heads and what size cam do you "figure" you have? Its just that i've never seen that happens... i've seen a gto with ls2 kill a modded 98 cobra so i'm just curious. But nice run none the less.

ls2 gtos= slow pigs without the driver mod... seen one at the track running 15.2 all night long, with various different drivers, finally the guy let his wife drive and she managed a 14.8. but they should run mid 13s stock, your setup should be good for mid to low 13s relatively easily, so pulling a car- 1 1/2 cars is ideal...

it was an automatic but that part is irrelivent... if i pulled him hard down low it would be but the fact is i pulled him after 80mph .... stick or automatic it doesnt matter at that point.... probably advantage automatic at that kinda speed for less shifting.... i got him by 1 car at the most but average of half... that 1 run idk what happened i started slow or something took me a min to run back by....

not sure about the cams they are semi redical though

and the fact u saw one pull a bolt on 4 valve doesnt matter im sure my car would pull a bolt on 98 cobra.... it shocked me the way i pulled him up top.... like i say i turned my rev up to 7k and let it eat lol it pulls hard up to 7k when i shift but the car is in need of a tune majorly it will burn your eyes out standing around it lol and when i lift after wot it blows fuel smoke like crazy lol

Very stout runs. Manual LS2 GTOs should run mid to low 13s without much trouble, I wouldn't even think high 12s would be out of the question. Obviously automatic ones are going to be putting down less power but it shouldn't be too big of a difference, GM autos are pretty good.

yeah like i said if it was gonna hurt it ,,,, we woulda seen it down low not on top end when i started pulling him everytime.... down low i think ida ate him too but fucking spinning on cold road owned me :santa_undecided: when i hit 2nd i thaught i was gnna hit him once or twice lol
