2000 mustang 98 V6 balancer and under drives

I would like to know if any one hase tryed to use a 98 V6 balancer and under drives on a 99-2000 v6 3.8?
I all ready know that the two are made differantly, but will the belt line up and is the balance the corect amount?

It might be diffenent. 2000 is the year they switched internal vs external balancing on those motors. Depending on what the production date is, it may or may not work.

my friend has used the 97v6 balancer with 99 v6 engine and had big problems with vibrations.
The vibrations stopped after installing the appropriate balancer

not worth the risk of damaging the engine imho just buy the one made for the car.
