I'm anxiously awaiting tax time, and figured I may as well spend that time doing research. My research is VERY limited due to the fact that most of my time on here is on my cell phone. Makes searching even slower than my v6 :p
It's a 2001 v6, 5 speed, 96,000 miles
stock except for american muscle CAI.
From what I've been reading, I've got a pretty good idea of what most guys do to the v6's.
I'm thinking of pypes cat back, underdrive pulleys, and maybe a tuner.
My question is, with a budget of 1000 dollars to maybe about 1250, would there be a real noticable difference, or would it be so slight that it wouldn't warrant the expense? I know that it will never be a "race car" without dropping THOUSANDS and THOUSANDS of dollars into it. So should I just drop the money into appearance mods instead?

Those are some decent choices.

You won't gain a ton of power from them, sounds like you understand that though, you will still get some seat of the pants feel that will most likely satisfy you fine.

Only thing I would add to the list would be 3.73 gears and a t-lok, but it would be hard to fit to your budget.
