Does anyone have the correct pinout and diagram for the 2004 specific mach 460 system, especially the input and output of the apps? I am adding an aftermarket amp and sub and have read conflicting threads about where to tap into the system. Without a proper, year specific diagram it becomes confusing. Also, one person says to tap the wires before the factory amp, and others say after the factory amp on the speaker/ sub outputs. I want to utilize a line output convertor prior to the aftermarket amp, but the voltage to the factory amp seems a little low, like less than 1 volt DC on the multimeter. So, if I had the correct diagram and such i might be able to do it right the first time.

so you are keeping the stock deck and speakers but replacing or adding an amp?

I can say for sure you will want to get the signal before the amp, preferably as close to the source/deck as possible. The further the signal goes down the signal the more electrical noise it picks up or develops in the case of an amplifier. Yes it makes it louder but all amps also add a little bit of noise to the signal, that is just the way the universe works. If you get the signal after the amp, your amp will amplify that noise as well as add its own = bad.

I don't have the pin out but you should not need an loc if you can get the signal behind the deck. The deck still sends a fairly high voltage output to the amps as far as low level signals are concerned but it is not hot enough to need an loc.
