mhmmm bet they heavy as hell too...hehe

They are heavy but look in my sig which is quicker with very equal mods ;) Hard to best a best of 31.0 mpg as well.

Personally I don't like the 2010 front end rear end and all that black plastic at the bottom doesn't help either. I sat in one a few weeks ago and I can't complain on the comfort as it felt just like mine, but i guess the interior is okay.

how would making the engine make more horsepower make it more expensive? if the 2010 mustang gt that makes 300 hp is over 30k... then how expensive is the v8 camaro that produces 400hp? just so you know the camaro is actually CHEAPER than the mustang. it has NOTHING to with a price tag because if camaro's can produce that much power for a LOWER price than mustangs.. then ford can do the same thing, they're just too lazy!

also keep in mind any weight differences....the 400 hp gto has on rare occasions ran a 12.9-12.8 bones stock but on MOST it runs mid to low 13's as can a stock s197 with the advertised 300 hp.

where do you think the money for upgraded engine parts comes from? out of the air? GM may get a better pricing deal on their parts, in conjunction with what parts they use. its not like theres a standard across all cars on the planet that it costs $XXXX.xx to build an engine with 300hp and that it will take a standard $XXX.xx more to make it 400hp, regardless of what car it is.

Chevy probably made the camaro with those numbers because the price they got to build an engine of that power, fit their budget while keeping it competitive with the "slower" mustang.

I think Ford is offering power packages including supercharger packages right off the hop. Not only will this make the cars faster (than the camaros) but it retains the factory warranty, and gives Ford an immediate source of aftermarket sales. I think its a smart move by Ford: Making a 300hp mustang then selling a supercharger kit for 5-6k (guessing) to bring it up to 400-450hp. It benefits the customer and the company.

oh and whoever is comparing a SS camaro to a GT mustang is on crack.

Compare the SS the the GT500 because regardlesss of what intranet junk you dig up they will end up being in the same price range.

ok and what happens if u pay ur extra 6k for a mustang with a supercharger to get up to 400hp. then what happens if some1 takes their cheaper 400 hp camaro and puts a supercharger on that for another 5k? camaro still gets more power. u cant compare a supercharged mustang to a regular camaro. suppose theyr both supercharged.. which one has more hp then? think about it.. if chevy can think of a way to lower their production costs in order to produce an engine with 400hp without a supercharger.. then why cant ford figure out a way to lower their production costs as well so we can get what we pay for. its pretty fuckin simple to understand what im saying and no im not on crack, maybe your a little bit slow if u cant figure out this logic

that still doesnt negate the fact that we get the bad end of the deal. even if they are more expensive to produce, it still sucks that it seems as though the mustang is a little bit behind. on another mustang site im on i even saw a few ppl say that theyd be willing to buy a camaro instead just because of the price difference and the hp difference

the new camaro is suppose to have a paddle shifter too. do you want ford to do that too. if you don't like the new stang then don't get one get a camaro. the way GM is right now there might not be a camaro.

If its such a bad deal stop whining and go buy a camaro

or even better lets just all forget about that lil thing called the GT500, with oh 500hp.

Ford is not behind at all. GM and Ford, believe it or not, are different companies and thus they produce different products (wow what an amazing discovery!!) Do you really expect them to have the same hp numbers and price tags? Did you even consider the different production methods and how they affect the cost of products?

I still dont see why your so outraged? I am willing to bet that once the camaro hits the showroom the SS models will be way more expensive than a GT mustang. This being the case why not just buy a GT500?
