289 in the stang

my buddy has a 94/95 stang with 3.8 swapping it to a 289 from a 68 galaxy ,the problem here is hood clearance. we know the 289 sits a little higher + he has a highrise intake with carb. we have perchased a cobra r hood with front snorkles it has a little rise, but my not be enough so where could he find a adapter for his carb./intake to put an air intake tube on instead of a basic air cleaner? thanx for comments.

94-95 came with 302. 289 is same size block. i assume you looking for something like this spectre

yes. but just with one side, can be plastic or metal,he wants to use factory intake tube.

in your browser search engine type in carb hat. you will need to find one that fits the carb. then use any tube of any size you can connect to it with the filter type you want where ever you can fit it.
