a good heads, cam and intake. many guys are pushing a solid 300hp with a quality h/c/i. i have the trickflow hci and put down
304hp and 316 ft lbs. or you could just say f*ck it and put a turbo/supercharger on it.

for you it would take full bolt on, a mild port and polish of your heads, comp cams 270hr cam, long tubes full exhaust. I tell my old combo to everyone on this board that put down 300 hp and 310+ tq to the wheels. But in the process you need to upgrade valve springs. It doesn't take aluminum heads and aftermarket intakes to make power. Just a good combo that works well together. I stumbled on this combo and will hang with a bunch of aftermarket hci cars just because it is very efficient. But don't get me wrong this is the maximum you can get out of production heads and intake. So if you want room to grow later you'll want a better flow head and intake package. But you get you to your 300 hp goal this is all you will need.

Three hundred is definitely possible. There are a million different ways to get there, depending on your budget. I used to aspire for three hundred HP myself but Im looking further now. Three hundred isnt what it used to be on the street. Especially when there are four and six cylinders putting down close to three hundred. My new goal is 350 to 400, hopefully getting closer to 400. Only thing I know for certain is it will be built off a level ten DSS block and CHP 347 stroker kit. After that, I havent figured out the remaining bits. Likely AFR 185s.

Yeah with bolt ons and a tune you could get 300 conservatively, but that would be about as much as shell give without porting, new heads/intake etc etc

so sell my head and intake?and just go buy some new ones i guess.i thought the cobra intake is good up to 350hp and the heads are gt40 so i would be only able to make 300 with the gt40 heads ported & polished

heads are your choking point, your intake is good up to 350. Do you have gt40 X heads?

Ported Trickflow high ports, Super vic EFI intake with a 90mm TB, and a healthy cam. Your shift point should be somewhere around 9,000rpms. :hammer:

What are you looking to spend?

The TFS kit is hard to beat. I am a fan of big AFR but the TFS kit is good, and it comes with virtually everything.
