well im getting the 351 block here shortly and i was looking at rotating assemblys and summit has a fully forged 393 scat kit for 924.xx. So i was thinking about dropping that in there since more ci is always nice.
Do it - more cubic inches is always better than less. Yould could also consider even larger strokers. (i.e. 408 and 418)
question is will these weaken the block to where i might not be able to push 650 down the road?
No. The block will split when it wants to split. I would ensure you have an excellent tune if you plan to push 650 rwhp. Windsors have HUGE main journals on their crankshaft, ergo they have very heavy crankshafts. When a 302 splits, it cracks up the front of the block and down the valley. When a Windsor gives up, it can shoot the crankshaft out the bottom along with your main caps.
also what kind of curve would i be looking at with a 393 turbo with gt40p head cobra upper and ported lower with the cobra cam vs the same set up with a 351.
Those heads and intake are WAAAY too small for that combination. You should be looking toward a set of ported TFS TW, AFR 205s, or similar at a minimum. If you put 302 heads/intake on a 393, you make 302 power.
The motor will be boosted to 525ish depending on the curve and i dont want to fully max out my injectors! I will be upgrading the from 42# to 60# later along with a new h/c/i but for now the money has to go to places like the tranny, read end and some paint.
Ensure you have the appropriate injectors for whatever power level you wish to push, and use an appropriate BSFC when calculating injector size. (naturally aspirated vs boosted)
42# injectors can support a lot of power, and 60s can support enough to break the block.
