Are the new 197's really all that fast? does anybody know what they run stock?

They are 300hp stock, about on par with a lt1 camaro, 96-98 cobra,mach1 mustang, they run mid to high 13's stock for 5 speed, and autos run high 13's low 14's, with bolt ons they run low 13's and full bolt on tires they are deep in the 12's. pretty quick for heavy cars they are.

That's pretty much what i was going to say. I think the key is they launch pretty well in stock form.

They are a hell of a lot faster than a npi, or 5.0 turd.


But arent that much faster than PI gt's

they love bolt ons though

thats the general statistics... HOWEVER, guys have hit 11s with boltons and tires... my mechanic had drag radials, lcas, mufflers cut, intake/tune and went 12.50s all day in shitty kansas air

I've seen them run 13.20's totally 100% bone stock, and mid 12's with minor bolt ons and tires.

I've also seen them make 800 hp with stock heads, cams, intake, throttle body, and exhaust manifolds. just a built shortblock and a turbo.

They are pretty cool cars.
