Some questions
1) What would a Pi, Kenne Bell, full bolt, dr, 3700 stall conveter, shift kitted, 4.10 geared 2v 4.6 stang do at the track.. jst a guestimate? :laughing5:
2) Most power you seen at wheels from a 2v 4.6?
3) Why do so many people on these forums worship Kenne Bell in contradiction to this thread? http://sn95forums.com/index.php/topic,841.0.html
4) What is there to add to the mods above for extra power(besides spray obviously)

im just trying to get a feel for the potential of the 2v 4.6 and im a kinda new car hobbyist (only owned my car for 9 months)

Like he said above...without building the block you will only be able to run like 9 psi safely with a KB...and that setup would probably see high 11s at best IMO, especially with only Drag radials and not slicks.

I havent really searched the web for 2v power numbers but I know of a couple people making like 650 with blowers.....I would imagine there is turbo 2v's making close to 1000 rwhp somewhere.

first off a 4.6 is not a bad building platform, pi swap or even the new TF heads on a built block can handle some really good hp numbers. even a NA build with the new TF heads and all would do amazing

Lots of 2V 4.6's running around with MPH KB Kits and 600-700rwhp that are street able and a few that are pushing the 850+rwhp

Now thats with the 2.8 KB's not the 2.1 so you will have to know what kit you are using.

The MPH KB car that was in the KOTS competition i believed dyno'd at almost 900rwhp and ran 9's.
Jim Fitz car is also a MPH KB 2V that runs in the 9's and maybe even 8's by now.

isnt dart block a 5.0 thing?

the stock 4.6 iron block is good to over 1000 hp anyway...its the rods/pistons that suck

+1000000, our motors really aren't as bad as people make them to be. Just buy forged rods/pistons/crank. Throw some boost, blower cams, bolt ons, headwork, and its basically up to you than how much you want to run.

i skimmed through that post ....they didnt say anything negative .....i like the sound the big bore KB's make hahaha

the reason i like KB is cause they have a good rapport and have a complete product (in most cases).....and you cant argue with the power ......and reliablility ....i wanted o do a turbo but i have no where to enjoy the full force of a turbo(high rpm full bore MFin freeway action hahah)....but trying to do a wheel stand at a street light at 1 am is an awesome replacement

2v's FTW

now he said High 11's like it was nothing ....i dont always drive my stang ...and its not fast but its quick and when i hop into my stang after driving my truck or an lmtv ....high 14's is fun ....and high 11's is respectable esp for someone as new as you (i dont mean that in a negative way so please dont take offense)

Yea, 13s is prett quick, 12s is moving pretty good, 11s is a lot faster than most people realize.

It takes a lot to get there with these cars atleastl.

I'm very happy with my boosted 2V.

realistically you're looking at teh 500HP range unless you go agressive on the head porting, cams ect.
and that is a lot of power on the street. (I'm talking rear wheel HP, not Flywheel or dynojet)

yeah its hard to understand until you go for a ride along in 10-11 secound car .....i mean 60 mph is gone like that ....hahahahah

500hp is quite a bit ....i mean even though you have production stangs with 500 hp etc ....its def something you should build up to lol

I agree 100%. It took me forever and tons of money to get my car to where it is today. It just takes time/patience and money. But just like anything else, even when you do have an 11 second car, it will never be fast enough. good luck broski
