4.6L DOHC ticking noise in the driver side valve train (video)

so we still have a bad tick in the driver side valve cover. listen to the video tell me what you think. the sound is very loud in person. at first i thought is was a bad spark plug as it had an "electrical arching" sound. so we replaced the plugs and the cracking sound is still there. your thoughts?

That's not a tick, that's a knock man. Probably a connecting rod. IMO, Its done. I bet if you put your hand on the top of the intake you can feel it.

yea, i think its a spun rod bearing too. after searching youtube for bad rod bearing, or spun rod bearing, or rod bearing noise, i have come up with a few of these vids with similiar noises. I was hoping it was a collapsed lash adjuster, cuz the sound is coming from the valve cover, but the noise is so loud that it can be heard from under the bumper as well. going to tear into her after the holidays.
