I would suggest not running a harness unless you have a rill bar. Because if you ever get in a accident the harness will hold you straight up and wouldn't allow for alot of movement, and if you flip it you may be crushed.

Yeah to fit them correctly you will need a harness bar or roll bar with a horizontal, the two shoulder straps ideally need to be withing 20 degrees heading back.

Have you ever driven in a car with harnesses? That's the single reason I won't run them in my car. Uncomfortable for any drive over 30-45 seconds.

I ran a set of 3-point harnesses in my car but my car was also gutted. Bottom straps were attached at the factory seat belt mounts. The rear/top strap was ran to the upper shoulder belt mount for the rear seat. It was within the right window of angle and worked out well but probably won't be as simple in your car. Corbeau makes a harness bar though that would make installation a snap or rollbar etc with your 4-pts. I know Brett installed a set in his Roush so you might go check his build thread but I'm pretty sure he used a harness bar. Harnesses aren't that uncomfortable but when you're rocking fixed back seats and harnesses, seeing out of the car becomes more of a problem because you are literally strapped down 24/7. But you get used to it and learn tricks as you go.

Yea I'm getting the harness bar. But not sure where the top straps go. I no around the bar but then where. And I've been in a evo with them and I loved them.

There is no way you could get me to run harnesses with no real caging. You flip that car and you are either dead or seriously injured. It happened to a local guy down here in Cincy. Guy flipped his car and passenger ended up paralyzed from the neck down. My opinion is a street car shouldnt have a cage. You dont wear a helmet on the street so what happens when you get in a wreck and hit your head on the cage? DEAD... Just my opinion.

On a street car, your best bet is the harness bar. Sparo makes a nice bolt in version.
The hanresses themselves will loop around the horizontal bar, and stap against themselves with the supplied hardware that should come with the harness when you got them.

Food for thought: most harnesses aren't street legal. If you live in an area where they enforce seatbelt laws and you get pulled over, they can ticket you for wearing them instead of your stock belt.

Schroth is the only company I know that makes DOT approved harnesses.

And speaking of the passenger who was paralyzed after wrecking in a harness, that is a real danger that is a big problem if you don't set up your harnesses correctly. I ran harnesses in my car because it was gutted a d getting the stock belts to work with the fixed back Corbeaus would be ridiculously more annoying. But I also didn't plan to daily that car.
