I doubt there is a ready made kit for this. Probably going to have to fab your own engine mounts. If it fits in there the rest shouldn't be too hard, except for the custom headers.

Never heard of a 7 speed auto tranny. It's gotta be very long.

6 & 7 speed autos are the new thing now.

Not to mention that any NASCAR engine will run ONLY on race fuel.

I know there are 6 speeds around, Ford uses them too. But I have only heard of one 7 speed and that was in some exotic European car. I don't know that there are any for American cars yet that will bolt to an American block, especially a dinosaur like a 428.

Like Paul said, if the engine is still in "race" trim it will only run on race fuel and it will only idle like it was ready to race. Won't be too ballsy on the street at low RPM. I figure the block, maybe the heads are original race pieces. I wasn't thinking it'd be likely still "race ready".

You're going to put a motor on an engine dyno that you haven't bought yet?

You're going to buy a motor "no questions asked?" Not a very good idea IMHO.

a 428 cj is an expensive motor, and if i found one not blown for a good deal, i would also buy it no questions asked O0 . my dad has a 69 mach 1 R code (428 cj shaker ram air) and when we finally found the numbers matching block, he had to pay about a grand just for the block.

Neat. Take some pictures of it when you get it on the engine dyno.
