Well, sold my Bullitt, and am going sn95 5.0 hunting this week....couple of questions about the car's.
My biggest concern...mileage: at what point do I really need to stay away from them? Obviously, dont get something ragged out, but is 130K etc considered over-the-top?
Also, anything in general I need to look out for? Tell-Tell signs somethings not as it should be etc?

Thanks for any help guys. Loved my s197 but miss having a SN95.

I remember driving a lot of Mustangs before I got mine, you can really tell if the car was beat on. 130k miles shouldn't be a big deal if it was taken care of but don't be surprised if the rear main is leaking and stuff like that.

^agreed. if its a 5 speed watch out for the noise that mine was making. not a grinding, but a loud bearing sound. its bearings going bad in them, kind of expensive to get into them as well. i would say 130k would be ok as well. i would stay away at around 150k.. ish. and you should know what else to check.

The guy supposedly replaced all the gasket/seals recently. His dad is a ford tech or something, so I told him if he didnt mind to be there while i was looking over it lol.

We shall see what happens!

Rule of thumb: Never buy a "Mechanic owned" or "Mechanic in the family" car. Mechanics get rid of cars for reasons. IE- Not worth fixing any longer.

My car i bought with 200k on the clock. Ran like a top. I dont care about mileage as long as its maintained.
