As you all know (or should know) I have a 5.0 cobra engine in my car now. My question is should I keep this car witht this engine... or, should i get s 96-98 gt 4.6? i was looking for cons and pros for each engine and your alls opinion on what would be better for power, looks, sound, reliability, cost, etc. so any help would be appreciated, thanks!

The possibilities with either platform are limitless. However I suggest you stick to a 5.0 so you don't have to go through the hassle of getting all the pieces together to do a 4.6 swap. Anyway 5.0 parts are dirt cheap and make excellent power, while modular motor parts are expensive, and seem to need the help of forced induction, but after that they can make huge horsepower numbers.

Well it's kinda awkward, he said his Cobra is a '97 which means at one point it had a DOHC 4.6 in it and for whatever reason someone converted it to a 5.0... not sure what i'd do in that case, honestly I probably wouldn't have bought the car to begin with.

Unless you put a termi motor in it keep the 5.0 for all the reasons said above. Termi swap would be cool though.

hell yeah it would

i saw one on ebay that had 560 RWHP when it was in the car that sold for only $5200. that is a badass motor for the price. if you have that in the budget, then go for it, otherwise, a 5.0 is easier to work on, easier to find parts for, cheaper to build and sounds bad ass with a cam and flows.
