5spd swap woesss

since my mach's still an iffy situation, it becomes more and more likely that im going to just do V up and ride it through college. Just wont be in the position to get me a 4v car for a good long time. So i want to get rid of my POS automatic, sorry i just dont like it, so 5spd swap. Looking for a t45, and finding one for a reasonable price in my area, is ridiculously hard. I have a new tri ax, ford racing quadrant kit, pedals and gettin the harness. I can have almost all of it, but for some reason getting the tranny is like trying to find a shelby gt350 steering wheel around here :nonono: just down about the car :-\ i have the new PI ford racing intake in the box ready to go on, but i'm just to down to do it.. sigh. i need a hug.. :'(

Can you use a different tranny instead? T45s aren't the greatest trans to begin with, so it might be worth it.

Thats what i was thinking.. a tremec sure would be nice.. 3650. upwards of 800 on corral though. Be the most expensive thing ever bought for my car

It's definitely a big purchase - but they're worth it in the long run. I've been trying to scrape together enough for a TKO600.

i rebuilt T5's in my 5.0 before.. just get me a motive rebuilt kit and im good to go. If you dont mind figuring out how much if you want to do a flat rate or what it actually costs

ill be completely honest woth you man, I just dont have the time to do all of that stuff. I will pm you numbers from any place you want local to me, and if you set EVERYTHING up, where I just have to drop it off, you can have it. I have too much going on right now in my life. My wife is due very soon, and it is taking up every spare second.

dude he's going to give you a tranny and you won't drive two states over? :dunno: Get a buddy burn some tunes and take a road trip. i bet it wouldn't take you more than 4 hours to get there. if i was going to do a swap and needed a tranny i would be there in a second. i bet freight will be more than gas to get there. probably alot more. my wife and i just went to kings island 240 mi round trip and it only cost me $21 8 gal @ $2.57 i avereged 26 mpg in the stang
