 Recently bought my 94 Cobra with 90mm MAF, CAI, E303 cam, smog del, shorty headers, straight pipes w/ no cats and 40 series Flow Master mufflers, King Cobra Clutch, #26injectors, I think 373 gears or 355 (don't remember), STEEDA Sport Springs, short shifter ect.....I need to know first of all: 1) are there any hand helds to tune these cars ? 2) What would be the best timing degree to set the distributor ? 3) Is it better to get it dyno tuned ? Im planning to go Supercharged so I need all the info I can get from you guys.......but want it running right n/a for now until i get it blown !! HELP :tard:

Look into the tweecer rt or the quarter horse for tuners. If you have the cash to get it tuned do it, it's gonna run you anywhere from $400-600 which some would say could be spent somewhere else (maybe upper and lower intake) but you'd be surprised at the power a good tune can unleash.

There really aren't any handheld tuners like there are for OBD2 cars, if the car is running okay now then wait to get the dynotune after you install the supercharger and all the supporting mods. Probably wouldn't go with any more than 14 degrees base timing (don't forget to remove the spout) but when you get it dynotuned they'll probably want it set at 10 degrees and they'll just add the timing with the tune.

as far as the timing thats different for every car. Some will take 14* while others will take 16*. Advance it until you can hear detonation then back it down from there. You also have to run 91 or 93 octane once you bump the timing up as well
