I dont mean to threadjack or anything, but while on the subject, if you had cobra or GT40 intakes, would it be effective to have them fully ported, or would it just be better to buy a set of trickflow intakes?

Do you mean the real GT 40 intake or that pile of crap explorer intake? The real GT 40 or Cobra intake ported would probably flow pretty close to what a Trick flow, Holly or Edelbrock would so it would prob be cheaper to just buy the better intake. Also it all depends on what heads your putting them on as well. The heads/Intake work together, you can have a great flowing intake but if you have crap heads it means nothing and vise verse

I meant a real tubular GT40 intake (thats what I have currently) I had the lower port matched to my GT40X heads (when I bought them I had no knowledge of this site or corral, so im stuck for now) I saw the numbers your 351 with a cobra intake put out, and that very decent, and was pondering a similar build. Ive also came to the conclusion that when it comes time to make real power I will buy some AFRs or similar. I cant do anything currently because the place i worked at closed up. lol... so for now Im just "getting edjucated"...lol

well do your research and plan everything out ahead of time so your not second guessing when it comes to buying parts or wishing you went w/ something else after the fact. Buying parts twice sucks ass
