95 GT Convertible Pump Fluid

Ok Mustang Family. Doing the final repair work after replacing the fan motor that melted. I decided to tackle the quarter windows in my car. After replacing the regulators and the motors and getting glass back in, I noticed the lift cylinders needed a little care. Ordered new ones from LMR and drained the system and noticed it didn't look like ATF fluid. The original pump says dexron 2 ATF. The question I have is can I use Mecron V in its place. I have some setting in the garage from when I changed out the trans.

Mercon V has superceeded the older Dex 2 and 3 and such. You can use it. It's what i've used in mine.
