hells yeah! stroker kit! Thats what I am doing next spring. dss and mmr and chp are a few companies I know. DSS is the place I am getting my 336 kit from for my 91 hatch if I stay 302, may go 351w though.

Do modular motors get that much of a torque/hp increase with a stroker?

if you want cubes with a modular your best bet would be to go http://modularmustangracing.com/ and look up the
NEW MMR 351R CAST IRON BLOCK:
"The Biggest Baddest Modular EVER, sporting 351 cubic inches/5.8 Liters with a factory stroke 5.4 Crankshaft, 360 degree cooling around cylinder heads eliminates hot spots and reduces detonation. ALL factory components bolt right on, accepts all heads (2V, 3V, and 4V)"

that should give you the cubes you want 351 c.i. 4v. that would be really bad a$$

What i am thinking of doing is taking my teskid block and doing a 5.0 stoker kit on it, maybe going .20 over on the pistons, then replace the B heads with a pair of C heads with a mild port and polish job, but i'm on a budget so i'm hoping i can at least do that much. I just want to get the most out of my cobra staying n/a

Right lol, I figured about 2500-3000 for the kit and about 1000-1500 for machine work, wich is about where my budget is, so i'm prolly just going to use my B heads with some imrc deletes. I'm also not sure if going .20 over n the pistons is worth it compared to just keeping the stock bore?

That I have no clue on....
IMRC Deletes- those are more for forced induction from what I read about. put some 4.30's and your be happp.... damn just looked at your sig, irs, t56. Why you go with a irs? For comfort or something? crap, yeah I want your budget. was told 1200 for porting my b heads when I had them out.

The Irs was in it when I bought it, its alright i guess. I think i need to put a new bushing kit in it though it seems a bit loose :dontknow: when i get on bumpy surfaces.

I'm thinking of going another route for my rebuild though, I'm thinking of just going with a normal rebuild with forged internals and doing my head swap instead of going the stroker route, plus it geves me about a month to find a good deal on some 99-01 cobra/mach heads and intake.

why not just go with an 04 cobra engine by that point?

or sleeve and stroke it... why not? closely within your budget if you move it a tad lol.

If your just going to cam/head swap it. delete your imrcs and get a short runner intake.. and dude. 4:30s in a t-56.. get it done.. then a nice tune and youll be good.

wow its been a while since i've been on here. Well my motor build didn't go as planned thanks to the bad economy :(. And to top that my motor just recently went down the drain, i'm pretty sure a rod went and siezed the motor up. So now I have a budget of about 3k to find a new motor or get this one rebuilt if the inside of the motor isn't to hurt. I'm having a hard time finding a low mile 96-98 motor, but i see a few 99-03 cobra/mach motors for a decent price. So my question is how hard would it be to swap in a newer motor into my 96? Thanks in advance for your help.
