And it begins, owner of a 96 mustang gt for a year and already on the hunt for power lol...This hobby is addictive. :headbang:
Anyways like stated have a 96 gt and looking to do a engine swap with a budget between 2-4000$ Am thinking a P-I Engine swap with F/I in the future, But am loving the idea of a cobra powered GT. I know i am not going to be able to do a 03/04 32V swap under 4000$ and still have it reliable and a clean job but how Much work is a 96-98 cobra engine swap and can the engine be bolted right to my stock 5 spd tranny. How much h/p Can these 96 T45's Handle??
Thanks for any help!

that whine though...im bout that
And not if you put a 4.6 intake on it all you would need is some adapter plates definantly won't breathe as well though
why go lightning though and ditch the supercharger? i mean i understand that if you go turbo, but other than that...why waste the money on a lightning engine just get a regular 331 from a expedition or f series
Well I'm saying lightning long locks are kind of expensive when he has a max of 4K to spend you can go regular 2v 5.4 and say down the road do a centrifugal or like you said turbo but if you can get a lightning cheap enough go with the lightning and I personally will deal with the hole in the hood I think it looks pretty badass plus you have a supercharger already
Dude the OP is six years old! The t45 will hold...if you aren't launching at 6k (baby it) but if you break it-boom! Your budget went from $4k to $6k for a reliable trans/clutch. 2v's are great, easy to work on and most of the performance parts are 1/2 of 4v's. Both are great engines and I have to say....2v's sound better!if your budget is on the higher end (4k) you can do a coyote swap. look for a wrecked 12 or 13 f150. ask neverenuff thats what he did. i think he got the motor for like 1500

Haha! Yup, best $1500 I've spent on my car. Well plus some $$ but that is irrelevant. Will say my next car won't be a car at all but a pre-1975 truck with some form of coyote power plant. Are they wrecking gt350's yet?well i mean...rick we can swap engines if you want... i want a 4v coyote engine
