ive read in haynes manual that plenum bolts use 22ft lb torques but i just sheared a bolt off and i dont wanna go through this again. has anyone used a specific torque? i dont wanna just snug up and break something?i just recently had p0171 and p0174. and my scanner says at idle at 689 rpms. i took off the plenum and found the gasket was torn. so i replaced the gasket with high temp rtv. can anyone help? and if anyone else knows haynes manuals are helpful for most things but small things its crap.

I used my calibrated wrist on that one, always, just like 1/8 turn on it, it's just a little bolt, and threads into an insert stuck in plastic.
