Well I officially raced my first Z28 Today. It was a 96 come to find out but anyway we first were screwing around going from like 65 to like 105.... I actually just held with him. From the stop light though I pulled on him. I know they arnt the fastest in the world but I was pretty happy.

yea...I dont get it...those camaro owners think thier cars are like 12 second cars stock no matter what.

JUst make sure when you see a camaro that it's a 93-97 before you try to run him. Those ls1 bastards are QUICK. Stock form they rip like we do modded. I have to hit the bottle opener everytime I see one on the street and give him a purge show just to keep them off me.

As far as gears go anything we run on the street wont be enough to effect anything in the 1/4 or a street race. You would have to have one hell of a steep gear to effect your car at 105 MPH

Are the LS1's that quick? When I almost got a newer GTO, I got into the forums pretty heavily. The LS1 GTO vs the LS2 GTO (50 hp difference), the ls2 would kill the LS1. And in there racing section you always heard of the LS1's getting destroyed by other vehicles. I raced an LT1 the other day from 50-110 rolls (twice) and walked on him like nothing was going on...and that was with out the spray! I saw an LS1 take off the other day and was not that impressed. Also this vid that I showed below is a LS1 Firebird vs newer Mustang and it got raped. I'm going to that track for the first time on Sept 6 for a test and tune night and I'm going to be racing both of these guys (who I went to school with) to see how it compares to other cars.
