I got up on jackstands, transmission removed and clutch swapped with a parts store "upgrade". The 28K mile stock clutch disk came apart. Not the 1st time ive seen and heard of cobra clutches of this year not holding up. I didnt replace the throwout bearing, it felt good. Clutch cable felt good too. Got the car down and went to reconnect the negative battery terminal and the factory terminal strap broke....grrrrrrr. So I swapped it out in favor of a lead wing nut type. I peeled the old strap terminal off the ground wires and crimped on a heavy 2ga copper lug that would slip over the wing nut terminal. Now to remove the negative ground battery terminal, all I need to do is spin off the wing nut. Car started right up. I pulled up on the clutch pedal to set the cable tension and wallha......car moved. Clutch is a bit grabby, but thats to be expected. Out driving around, car felt good and very strong! I do believe the 3000miles I have drove the car, the clutch had some upper rpm slippage because now she pulls real good! Now that the car is together I have come to the conclusion to sell it. Id love to keep it, but the desire to be out of a few bills out weigh keeping it and I can restructure some other areas of projects,
