I realize it is 3/4 an inch wider and I want that actually because I want to increase my stance without using spacers. What I've read has been that a 99-04 up will not mount in. Why? What is misplaced? I'm a little desperate for an answer as I've been offered one now.

It pushes the wheels out 3/4" on each side so if you're running a 11" wheel it's going to bulge and depending on how lowered you are, it could hit the fender.

I dont know the geometry for the diff I woul think that would all be the same for UCA's but Lca's may mount slightly different I will need to look in to that, also think about brake lines. Thoes will have to be moved and or clearanced so they arent streched, same with parking brake cables.

aside from the width differences, there are different bolt hole sizes. 99-04 LCA bolts on the axle end are 14mm and 79-98 are 12mm. you could get new bushings that have the right size bolt hole to match up to the axle, or get 99-04 LCA's

Alright so I'm going to be wanting to get some 99+ brake lines, 99+ parking brake cables, and 99+ LCA's? As long I don't have to reweld some flanges or something then I feel okay with that. I also have a FRPP adjustable parking brake cable so maybe I won't even have to get those.

you could just put some 99-04 bushings in the 94-98 LCA's, or you could just get 99-04 LCAs like you said and kill two birds with one stone by getting rid of the shitty stock LCA's

Not really. I'm doing a pretty extreme rearend build anyway. I got a burned up 8.8 from a Mach 1 with LCA's, swaybar, ABS sensors, and parking brake cables for 50 bucks.
