Looking at a set of kooks and ARH longtubes both for 99-04 2v, just wondering if anyone knows if they will bolt up and work? Any differences?

Thanks guys

It should work. The exhaust ports on the PI and NPI heads are the same, and the car itself is the same. All the headers that I've seen advertised always show for 96-04...

Just curious why everyone bashes BBK Headers? I have them on my car and I think they're awesome.
In fact, they were the only reputable brand that advertised fitment on the Verts without modification to the factory K-member.

Did you install them?

Fit and finish is terrible and instead of bending a primary properly the just pressed it in.. ...

You get what you pay for...right? Buy $1000 kooks and their wont be any crimped tubes or buy $250 painted black pacesetters and still ....no crimps! WHY BBK, WHY?

No I did not install them myself.
But finish was fine when I received it and still is over a year later. (I did get the ceramic coating).

Longtubes fit the car perfectly, no leaks or issues of any kind.
Maybe I'm just lucky, I don't know.

The crimp does look a little hokey, but does it really affect performance?

The ones I personally dealt with were chrome and one rusted in under 6 months...... over the summer while the car was in storage Lol

For 400 I want them to bend it properly

how do you like the american racing duff? i found a set for $800 but i think they are going to be too big with 1 7/8 with 3" colloector and 3" X pipe. Only planning on about 500rwhp. They are cheap but dont want to go way big and hurt power

I've never understood why others had had issues with bbk myself. I've had the bbk stainless shorties on my 95 for over 3 years and they're still n great shape. My car even runs rich and what few rust spots they have are minor and buff off.

i think the biggest issue people have is the fact that they have a poor design on their mod motor long tubes. instead of reworking one of the primary tubes to go around the steering shaft, they just crushed one of the tubes so it would clear.
