99-04 pbr brake caliper swap?

ok so i have searched and read alot of the people up grading to the 99-04 calipers found a sweet deal local going to get the calipers, brackets, hoses tomm. the only problem im having is i have a98 and a few people have talked about shaving the spindal for it to fit. not afraid of doing it just done know where to shave for the fit i have tried looking for a pic and have googled and came up with nothing. can some one point me in the right direction. plus do i need to use the 99-04 hoses or will mine do?

96+ cars have a slightly different spindles, so you don't have to do anything to them. 95 and older cars are the ones which get piston interference.

i have read that to and thanks for the help just heard a few people with 96+ cars having to shave also.

My friend Has a Mid year 96 and he also had to shave just like i am having to do to get the PBR Calipers onto my 94 Gt Spindle's. This is a picture and website i used to trim mine.

thats what i have been looking for thanks for the help hope to have them on here in the next few days waiting on the rain to break here in tx.

i have a 1996 GT and have had to shave the spindle ear to utilize these units. please please adhere to instructions. the spindle ears contact the calipers. it prevents slide travel and bolting on.

I had to grind the ears on my 96 as well. It doesnt take much to get te clearance you need, just make sure you have proper clearance for the caliper to freely move. I also had to to use the 99-04 hose on one side and was able to use my stock hose on the other, dont remember which side was which though.

hmm.. alright thanks! for the 96 v6 car would it be wise to up grade to a the 99-04 rotors too? or are they the same size rotors?
