my buddy had a vortech on his 99 cobra, dynod at about 450. that was the biggest disappointment ive ever driven. im sure it did have 450rwhp, but by the time it made any significant boost, you were so far up in the RPM band that it was practically useless.

Ive heard that the 99-00ish (not positive) cobras are a bit problomatic, with stuff breaking. Should look into that and see if 1. its true 2. what kind of stuff to look out for.

my insurance is full coverage, through USAA-(Best insurance every by the way..check it out if you have a family member in the armed forces, or if you are..)

But I decided I think my gameplan is to do a lower mileage GT and turbo it.

Im in the same state as you are, except my car has nearly no mods done to it...

You just spent all this dough on your car and now you want to sell it? I can understand its given you problems but I would hold off on making any sudden decisions.
Even if you buy a "newer" car such as a 99 Cobra you will still run into things breaking and stuff to pay out of pocket... It isn't a new car after all...

So it really comes down to nothing lol... You want a newer car, go buy it.
I'd personally keep the GT you already have since you've done all of this work to it for a while longer, pay it off and then upgrade...
