A "How Much Will it Make" Thread

Hey guys, I've been doing some pre-planning and I'm having some trouble because of a lack of knowledge/experience on my part. So I look to all of you dudes that have been there done that or know a guy that has been then and done that.

Here's my query: you have a completely stock 95 5.0L with o/r mid pipe. It makes 185rwhp. If you add the following parts:

• Ford Racing Cobra intake, Chinese version, TMOSS ported lower
• BBK long tube with matching o/r mid
• GT40X cylinder heads

Leaving everything else stock, how much rwhp do you predict it will make?

same question. new combo. is flowtek heads (outflow preformer rpm) ported procomp qualifier intake (rpm2 copy), tfs1 cam. bbk long tubes, 30lbs injectors, bbk throttle body, forged ho pistons, roller tip rockers. all will be tuned to match.

Really, you think that much with stock support stuff? I am currenty thinking stock rockers. I'm trying to do some planning so I'm attempting to get an idea of what different combos are capable of.

dont even bother if your going to keep stock injectors,maf, fuel pump etc no tune and stock cam prob 240-270rwhp, you might want to think about doing a cam , injectors,maf fuel pump tune etc. and add another 10-30rwhp to them numbers so 250-300rwhp tops.

well, I mean you can use your stock injectors since your not making more than 280hp with that car. I heard the throttle body is 70mm already on these cars already, but i'd wait to get EVERYTHING like said above, mass air, injectors, better intake, fuel pump, and a cam if you really want some lope.

I have a question to add, In general, on a full 306 build with afr heads, cam, intake, and all else upgraded with shorty headers, How much HP is left on the table by using stock exhaust other than shorties?

Stick with shorty headers, much less headache. But I bet you'd be in the 250ish range. 1.7RR will help the lack of cam a little, but ultimately you should cam it. With a cam you'd be in the 300whp easily, but you should definitely do some bigger injectors at that point. I dunno how the SN ECUs play with MAF/injector tunes, everyone on here swears a tune is key. I don't have that option so mine is unturned and seems to run/drive just fine.

The reason I ask a quasi-retarded question like all stock but the intake and head is for points reasons with time trials. I'm planning for the future TT build and depending on what I do I get assessed points. I'm not trying to make max hp, but rather specific hp.

Alright guys, slight change to the question: assume that I do GT40x heads, cobra intake, 1.7 rockers, and a mild-ish cam of some sort - how much will it make? Shooting for around 320 flywheel hp or so.

75mm throttle body
90mm MAF
