I searched for them on this site, but the search feature is kind of difficult to use. Anyway, does anyone know the link where I can get those adapter plates that allow the PI intake to be used with NPI heads?

+1, i was constantly bouncing off the rev limiter (and fuel cut off...) when i had the PI intake + NPI heads, and all i used was the PI gaskets and a little RTV around the coolant ports (front coolant port on the passanger side, rear coolant port on the drivers side). now i have the full PI swap

Livernois (LivernoisMotorsports.com) offers a kit for $500 (current pricing) but that might be too steep for your liking. I used this kit and I like it but it is more expensive than most people want to pay. They would not sell the adapter plates alone when asked a couple of years ago but maybe they will now?? Another fellow was making adapater plates (and they were very reasonably priced) but I recall that he was selling them on ebay. You might try a search in the auto section using "adapter plates"+Mustang and see if something comes up.

I bought the complete Livernois kit a few years back; wouldn't have done it any other way.
They will sell the plates seperately, but they're not cheap..IIRC ~$300.

I also have the Livernois Kit and would pay the $500 to do it right again.

I used silicone, and I would pay the 4.99 to do it wrong again.

You'll be hard pressed to find anyone who used silicone complaining about it.

And here's a little something to think about, the PI intake swap pre-dates Livernois adapter plates...

HPS also sells these adapter plates for $85 or something like that.

Yeah, those are the ones I was trying to find. I dont mind doing it with silicone, but this is my daily driver and I ussualy dont have time to screw around with the car during the week, thats why Im kind of sketched about using RTV. Straight to school in the morning, then straight to work after school, then straight to bed after work :(

I don't understand your comment: "... it did raise the temp like 13 degrees ....". Are you saying that the operating temp increased? Why would this happen (other than trapped air or a thermostat issue)? I'm not picking on you, I am just curious about the temperature change.

Thanks,

Chris

yes my operating temp raised 13 degrees bob the owner of thr or hps whatever he likes to call it at the time said there is an average raise of of 10 to 18 degrees with the plates dunno why though so now my temp is barely touching the r of normal so now big to me and to cure that i just put in some water wetter from redline and dropped the temp by 22 degrees so i run cooler that before but just 50/50 coolant and the plates raised my temp 13 degrees

Thanks for the info. I have to say that I didn't notice much change in the coolant temperature. Like you, I run Water Wetter and 50/50 coolant and a 180 degree thermostat. My datalogs show the same max temperatures (180 to 184 degrees when at full operating temp before and after the installation of the plates). Anywho, I'll have to put my little brain cells into high gear to try to figure out why the temperature would increase with the plates in place.
