Hey guys,
In the process of building, or rebuilding, my 98GT for NASA. It's a fairly extensive N/A build, and I'm down to making decisions on the fuel system before dropping the engine back in. I think I've decided on a Glenn's Performance sumped tank kit to be sure I don't starve the fuel system in the twisties. I'm open to other suggestions on that as well, so let the comments fly. Looking for actual real-world experience, not opinions (no offense). If anyone has installed one of their full tank kits, please chime in and let me know what all comes in the kit and what I would be lacking to complete it.
My real question is about the fuel rails and fuel lines at the engine. I've been turning wrenches on Mustangs for a long time, but never once have I worked with upgrading the fuel system. Chances are, for this build I don't really need a crazy fuel system, but would like to have a good system in place in the event that I continue to build up the power in this motor as I get back into wheel-to-wheel racing and move up classes in the future.
What return-style fuel rail kit would you guys and gals recommend for a one-shot, get-it-right-the-first-time type setup? I've read about the PP rail kits, and the general consensus is that they are junk. The Aero stuff looks nice, but holy Mary mother of God they are expensive.
So please, someone help me out with this...all comments welcome!
