I think it has to be as close to the motor as possible and it has to be in the 10 o clock position as well.

The WB sensor needs to be before the cats and about 18" from the headers. It can be mounted between the 9 and 3 o'clock position such that any condensation does not pool around the sensor element.

General consensus is to mount the WB sensor on the driver's side as #8 cylinder tends to run lean compared to the others due to intake design. If you have a controller capable of reading 2 sensors mount them both.

Accually I think it is the number one cylinder that runs lean on our cars. I could be wrong. I have mine mounted on the passenger side just before the standard O2

I would (and did) mount it on the drivers side, Pre-cat if you can. If you have a catless or high flow, 2 cat pipe you can use the 2nd set of bungs and shut off the rear o2 sensors in the tune. Most of the kits come with a weld in bung if you chose to use that. Ideal position is between 10-2 to keep the sensor out of condensation and helps protect the sensor itself.

I wouldn't worry about installing it pre-cat too much or installing the bung if you have a hand held. Heck, the dyno tuners use a sniffer at the tail pipe of the car and will either use that, or both when tuning.

EDIT...Eh, then again i just realized im in the 94-95 forums :tongue3:
