Anyone ever come across one for our cars? The powdercoated one I have on my car now is pretty weak and has a lot of chatter. I've seen the Thump RRR ones but don't think they make one specific for 94-95s

Mine worked perfectly before it went through powdercoating. I'm not sure if the excessive chatter is because of the supercharger routing OR this is just a theory of mine, the spring inside my tensioner got weaker with the oven heat. That's why I'm looking for something aftermarket that might be stiffer

I've powdercoated several tensioners and not had problems with them subsequent to it.

But if you're worried about it, just don't coat it. I believe it to be highly unlikely that you'll find a better belt tensioner from the aftermarket.

I cut the top of my alternator mounts off, deleted the tensioner, then used an old march threaded eyelet type of tensioner, bolted it where my old tensioner went, then bolted it to the alternator to add tension

You can kinda see it there.
I just painted the bracket after I smoothed out all of the cut/grinder marks..

I'll try on a new belt first, if it's not that then I'll just get the Ford one
