i just bought some new black headlights from american muscle and installed them today...they look really good and i went out for a drive about an hour ago and noticed that there aimed way to far down towards the road cause u can only see a good 20 feet in front of the car without brights on. those of u who have bought aftermarket headlights probably know that there are 3 different screws on the back of it to adjust it...which one would i have to adjust to aim it up more??? i tried to adjust it when i got home and couldnt figure it out...do u have to take the whole headlight off?

Are they 1 piece or 2?

But I think you have to remove them regardless, I have no idea, I've just been driving with my hi-beams on at night, but I'm just lazy like that lol.

you do need to take them out (which is why mine still point crazy directions. lol.) but you will have to screw in the bottom one OUT and the top one IN. the one closest to the center is for pointing left and right.

its a pain in the ars.

i got the 2 piece ones...there not projectors there just smoked headlights. and yeah thats kinda what i figured that i would have to tighten the top one and loosen the bottom one. its such a bitch to get out though cause those damn plastic clips r so annoying...and then when i get it out how would i know how much to loosen or tighten the screws. its stupid there should be instructions tellin u how loose or tight each screw need to be to be aimed right

the trick is to do the install at night....

step #1:
drive your stock car up to a wall or garage door.... turn on the headlights and place tape at a "landmark" so you can tell where they are pointing.

#2:
take out old, put in new

#3 drive up to the same wall and use your headlights.

#4 adjust accordingly.

this will save time because you wont have to test drive after an adjustment and you can see exactly what youre doing.

I have a set of the smoked headlights and i pulled up to a garage door at night and took out my corner lights and there is a little adjusting screw that you can turn and it will bring them up highr and all youneed is a phillips screwdriver....it worked for me but i am sure mine are not aimed to the sides well but i can see just fine with my low beams on.
