I just got a 1994 GT (my first car!) a couple days ago, and the only real problem with it right now is the air condition doesnt blow cold. I can recharge it myself but from what I can see there are two different hoses with valves on them and im not sure which is the low pressure one. One valve is close ot the alternator on the from passenger side, the other is about midway on the drivers side. Theres no blue and red caps to tell me which one it is :dontknow:

Also, the AC randomly kicked in today for 10 minutes, blew ice cold. Then once I turned the car off and restarted it, it died again. any thoughts on this?

Probably needs some more 134 in it, the low side is the one on the driver side. Midway like you explained. If the compressor wont kick on when you try to charge it, unplug the a/c cycling switch ( or low pressure switch) and take a piece of wire and short the connection.

It could be a bad relay. You can jump the relay. The compressor will not turn-on, or kick in if there is not enough refrigerant in the system. When you jump the connector, your are causing the compressor to kick-in, causing the A/C to run, and a 0 psi reading is basically saying there is no refrigerant in the system. When the system is closed, the pressure builds to 40 psi. If you look on top of the accumulator, there is a pressure switch on the top. This is why after on a hot summer day and you've been driving with your A/C on, when you turn the car off, there is a "hissing" noise. It's bleeding of the excess pressure.

the one you want is on the drivers side. The caps are different sizes so it will not allow you recharg the other one unless you can put a square peg in a round hole as I imagine you can force it if ya tried hard enough.
