Please pardon the potentially stupid question...

So when I get a new dash, do I have to get the airbags for that dash too? Or can I reuse my airbags and just use the covers from the dash? I've never opened up mine or any other dash, so I haven't a clue what I'd need to do to do any of that. Thanks.

You'll use the same airbags that you have now and just change (or paint) the covers to match your new interior color.

That's what I'm going to do when I switch out my steering wheel, put the old one back on. The cost of airbags is ridiculous. Better read up on how to take them out - there are many posts here on how - disconnect from battery for sure. I'm a bit freaked out that just when I put my tools under the damn thing is going to go off in my face!

I was kinda nervous when I had to take the passenger side airbag out to get to my heater core on my old V6. Just unhook the battery before doing anything with them and you'll be fine.

They are a piece of cake to pull out and change. Just make sure, as noted, to disconnect the battery for about 20 minutes. I remember when I wrapped mine in vinyl and everyone was saying that it would make them not work. Well, they were wrong. Damn things functioned flawlessly.

Why not just dye the dash? Pulling the dash is a PITA. I'd much rather get some SEM paint. Dashes never seem to want to go back in just as they came out.

Yes. Disconnect battery. Manual says for like 2 mins or something. I recommend as long as possible.

Always have the soft side (front) facing you. Not the back hard side. Also always set the bags face up so they don't become projectiles. The bag shouldnt explode... But if it does.

Check out my tech article on airbag clock spring

Ahh, I remember my last bag kit.. Slam Specialties RS72 bags, x8 1/2" Parker valves, Oasis Compressor, 10 switch box, BYC control arms, triangulated four link, two 20 gallon air tanks and a fawkin quartet of titanium drag blocks... Man, that was all in a 1,500$ truck LMAO
