:BangHead: Really need help here guys. And am taking this as the bible to my my 94' gt engine upgrade. We all can agree on the fact that I am a virgin here and have put alot of time and effort along with some well needed cuffs along side of the head during this learning experience to all of this. I finally have a set plan of attack which includes: ALONG WITH MONEY A LITTLE TIGHT.
1) block is at machine shop already getting hot tanked and jet washed. Then upon piston selection of to which is: Pistons, Hypereutectic, Press Fit Pins, 4.030 in. Bore, Flat Top, Four Valve Reliefs,Ford,Small Block,Set of 8

Part Number: SUM-17302-30
They will bore.

2) Crankshaft is at another machine shop getting magna fluxed and ground. Is needed as far as I have been informed. This same shop is going to balance the rotating assembly for me.

3)Then Rotating assembly along with ford camshaft b303 will be assembled by original shop doing the bore.

ALONG with allof this I am switching to a 93/cobra replica upper/lower with cast gt 40 heads and crane rockers, my question is will all of that work with my computer

As long as you don't expect too much from it you should be ok.

I would personally keep the stock cam over a letter cam.

Make sure the valve train is up to snuff. correct pr length valve springs and so forth.

The letter cams are not the best in the world but I imagined they be better than stock.

Anyways, you're not TOOO wild with the setup, you might be ok with the tune. That being said, you'd probably be better with a tune.

There is nothing wrong with letter cams.

Too many people believe everything they read on the internet.

I know someone right now making 560HP with an E303 cam.

Look at the E303 vs. TFS Stage 1. They are very close to each other.

Thank you!

Why everyone bashes em is beyond me.
Yes a custom cam will result in better power, but if you are not competing and just out to
have some fun the letter cams are a good buy for your money

I had a "B" cam in my 93 gt and it SUCKED. It sounds good but that was about it. The "E" cam is a decent, but it doesnt have much of a cam sound with stock heads. I had a buddy that had a E cam with some 351 heads and it sounded mean as hell, and thumped like crazy ( never understood this ). there is a comp cam that has a similar profile to the E cam too, we put it in my buddies 5.0 and he loves it. Never had good luck with the F cam, ive installed 3 of them ( all on the fox ) and they all had tuning issues. Never messed with the X but they sound pretty harsh.
