The Pope is right. Alternators from 99 and up where Vistion units where are the earlier one's where not. You are better off getting one from a 98 and call it good.

Yea the plugs are diff on the 99+.. I went ahead on bought a new one..

What did you pay? I got one off a Lincoln Towncar (I think it was a '96) at the junk yard. It was an exact Motorcraft replacement. It works perfectly (did all the diagnostic tests at school on it) and it looks brand new! I paid less then $30 total!

I paid 160 bux for it... Alot more then i wanted lol..

AutoZone Duralast? My autoparts catalog wanted $460 (plus $90 core) for a rebuilt Motorcraft.

"Pay and Pull" can be your friend. Me and a friend are looking at going back in and stripping all the cars we can for motorcraft parts. We get a 30 day warranty.

On Edit: for after thoughts...

I think 94,95 GT's are different as well. Don't hold me to that tho.
