Alum. Heads?

Today while I was painting my calipers on my car black I noticed that I had an oil leak from the left side valve cover I poped the hood and took a look at it while looking I saw that my heads look to be alum. Did my car come stock with alum. Heads?

yes, V6 heads are aluminum

I believe so. here is a pic of some cleaned up and rebuilt stock heads...

no problem man. on top of that. we also have a slightly rougher cam than 99-04 v6's and we have stock shorty headers. the 99-04 use manifolds i believe.

I know WHAT it is, I was wondering what he was looking at that is splitport. because his car shouldnt be.

exactly i have fairly decent knowledge of these engines

he was talking about ssm i think. since thats where my pic was from. he just worded his response weird. Either way.
