I too wanna know whats up with the gauge bezel piece

this thread is over a year old, and that website has long been gone. AM sells something very similar but it is chromed instead of silver.

This may seem like a stupid question but did you color the sides of them as well? I have mine out and did they tops but before I put them back together I was wanting to know if you colored just the tops of the needles or if you did the sides as well

yes, I did the top and sides. You just want one quick and even stroke on them though.
