Just picked up this 99k ‘94 Convertible GT. Red Interior (How rare is this interior?)

So far in 4 weeks I’ve done;

Body Kit/Spoiler (Still have to get painted)
Headlights
Tint
20’s
BC Coils
Cold Air
Blacked out
Upgraded speakers
Spacers
Painted Calipers
Shift Knob
Antenna Delete
Cut out 2 x Resignator’s with 2 x Flowmaster Mufflers

I’m wondering what are the next engine/performance mods I should be doing?

Someone suggested a full build but when I priced it out, it would be better to just drop a 5.0 Coyote engine in it.

i'm sure there are numerous options for the brakes. I have to admit that just putting new rotors on my car made a HUGE difference over stock. All I did was Powerstop rotors on the front. Have all 4 on my JK. (.....notorious for being slow to start and slower to stop) If you can spare the cash, I'd do the whole deal, calipers and all.
Somewhere on here I saw someone did a performance caliper swap. Not sure if it was a direct bolt-on junkyard swap. I'm sure there's at least one or two for the SN95 (still learnin my way here), but I second a brake upgrade. Worth it even before you drop a bunch of money into the engine.
I think someone has a Cobra caliper set for sale in here. Could be an option.

Just saw your “freshly painted” post, instantly recognized the interior, saw you were listed as a “new member,” and came right here to see more.

Yes, these interiors are indeed rare. You could only get them with black, white, opal frost, or Rio red exterior from 94 to 95. These tended to be fleet orders, a bulk of them being rental companies. Most were v6es, but seeing the leather, GTs were even more rare, as they were either GT cloth or GT leather, meaning there were 3 different codes for this interior. That doesn’t even go into the manual window door card nonsense.

Get a Marti Report

It should tell you EXACTLY how many were made. I believe 530 Rio red v6 convertibles came with red interior. I think I saw a white GT post up theirs and they were a little over one hundred.

Make sure you come back here and post of the production numbers when you get it, ok?

Ever since 1998, I have been keeping my eyes out for other red interiors. I have found about 5 others in the wild. People hated them, and many were repainted black, or just swapped out and trashed. With the bulk being v6es, they were driven to the ground, then crushed. So they are even more rare now then when I first started looking.

Well 36 came in White (ZF) with a white top (WW) and (4F) interior, but 480 4F interiors (GT Leather) were produced in a 1994 GT convertible. That’s 480 GTs with all four exterior colors. Get that Marti Report if you want to know more, and let us know what you get because this is how I was able to get that 480 number. Someone shared their info that I collected 15 years ago.

Had a buddy nearly 20yrs ago that bought a nearly new 94 GTS black with red interior and that's what made me fall in love with the SN95 cars. Car looks amazing and being a Vert with the red interior it pops on its own!
