Any word on whether these function. My cover (stock) has cracked and pieces missing. If one day I were to consider replacing it, would this make sense as a replacement? $119.00 Free shipping. I do live in an area of consistant 100 degree days each summer (if that matters any) Thanks again guys. Very appreciated for your time.

The Mishimoto 1994-1998 Ford Mustang Air Diversion Plate is not only intended to enhance the aesthetic appeal of your engine, but will incomparably reduce your radiator’s coolant temperature. All Mishimoto air diversion plates are constructed of 5052 aluminum to combine lightweight design with high performance. The Mishimoto Mustang Air Diversion plate is available in a matte black finish to enhance the look and style of your Mustang's engine bay.

I've read a few things on a couple of different forums where someone's car is over heating and members asking if this piece and the bottom air dams are still attached. I don't feel like painting mine so I might look into this one since I heard the UPR ones are on back order

I guess it keeps the air from flowing over the radiator, rather than through it.(big maybe there, I am having trouble remembering, but I believe the core support is in a good place to do this itself) but the stock piece does the same thing, so this is most likely a aesthetics only mod. unless someone else can come up with a more pertinent reason this will improve cooling?

i know that name is big and they have high quality stuff. I wounldnt be scared to buy it

mishimotoooto, although a popular name, has had its fair share of quality problems in the past. Radiator fitment, radiator leaks, and radiator-leaks-due-to-crappy-fitment are common with their mustang equipment.

i cant imagine them fugging one of these up tho. lol. i just dont see it "cooling stuff more-good." ya know?

I can't imagine there's much in the way of an actual improvement in cooling performance vs the stock factory pieces, but for those of us with busted factory pieces it's a nice alternative.
